Letters for the Future Entry Terms & Conditions

Activation Idea

  1. Write a time capsule of love to your children and AIA will package it as a beautiful time capsule for your children to open when they’re older.
  2. For every letter we receive, we are pledging RM1 to the AIA Touching Lives Fund.
  3. Share & tag your friends. The more letters written, the more the AIA Touching Lives Fund will receive.

Campaign Period

  1. 2 September to 30 November 2014


  1. AIA Bhd. reserves the right to extend or shorten the promotional period.
  2. Entries received after 11.59pm on 30 November 2014 will not qualify to enter.
  3. The campaign is open to anyone residing in Malaysia.
  4. Home/delivery address must be within Malaysia.
  5. Parents may submit a maximum of 3 letters but limited to 1 successful entry per child.

Campaign Mechanics

  1. All entries must be completed and submitted through Letters for the Future tab on AIA Bhd.'s Facebook Page or through the site

Entry Submission Criteria

  1. Each entry submission must include a letter to your child in the most inspiring way (minimum 30 words, content of letter must be original, sincere with no vulgarities);
  2. and a photo of your child.
  3. Photos uploaded must be in JPEG format.

AIA Time Capsule

  1. All first 1000 entries will be notified and receive a beautiful time capsule.
  2. If a participant entry cannot be contacted within 5 working days from the date of announcement of the results, another participant will be selected. AIA shall not be responsible to any participant for losses (including loss of opportunity and consequential loss flowing therefrom) and damages suffered in the event the participant cannot be contacted or if the contact information provided in the online entry is incorrect or not current.
  3. Submissions for “first 1000” are subject to all Entry Terms & Conditions of campaign.
  4. Gifts are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative items.
  5. AIA Bhd. reserves the right to replace or exchange the gifts with alternatives.
  6. All decisions made are final.


  1. By participating in this campaign, participants are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms and Conditions stipulated herein and will abide by all decisions made by AIA.
  2. Participants shall assume full liability in the event of any damage or claim resulting from participation in the campaign and/or use and/or redemption of their gifts and/or infringement of a third party intellectual property rights.
  3. AIA has the absolute discretion to change, delete or add any of these Terms & Conditions and/or to terminate, suspend or cancel this campaign at any time with or without prior notice. For the avoidance of doubt – termination, suspension or cancellation of the campaign shall not entitle the participants to claim for compensation against AIA for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the participants as a direct or indirect result of the act of termination, suspension or cancellation.
  4. AIA shall not be responsible for any defect or any other loss or damage that may be suffered in connection with the AIA Time Capsule.
  5. Eligible Participants who participate in this Campaign are deemed to have expressly agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (as varied or changed), the decisions of AIA and/or the judges and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to have consented to and authorized AIA to disclose their particulars to the third party service providers engaged by AIA for purposes of the Campaign. AIA warrants that the disclosure of such particulars to any third party service providers shall be limited to the Eligible Participants’ names, addresses and telephone numbers and shall be used only in relation to and for purposes of the Campaign. AIA’s decision on all matters relating to the Campaign (including the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions) shall be final and binding and no further correspondence or attempt to dispute such decision would be entertained.
  6. Each of the Eligible Participants is deemed to have given his/her consent and authorization to AIA to use his/her name and any photographs taken or other information approved by the Eligible Participants for current and future advertising and publicity purposes relating to the campaign. Eligible Participants also agree to be featured in any publicity material relating to the Campaign.
